Niwaki Daikiba Secateurs
Equally handy at the top of a Niwaki Tripod Ladder as when picking your way through the back streets of Kyoto.
Hand made in a limited edition in Kojima, the heartland of Japanese denim, using 12oz indigo selvedge denim (from just down the road in Kurashiki, famous for its weeping willows) with 2% stretch for added movement - equally handy at the top of a Niwaki Tripod Ladder as when picking your way through the back streets of Kyoto.
Loose fitting, with deep, double lined pockets and loose sleeves, made to be rolled up. Just what one wants in a practical, hard wearing work jacket, but it also dresses up surprisingly well. Ages, like the best of us, gracefully, but it’s best roughed up a bit to get things started - no denim really works until it’s had a night out under the stars. Comes in a nice denim tote, made from factory off-cuts.
You know the rules: wash rarely, cool, minimal soap, inside out with similar colours. Expect slight colour run and for heaven’s sake don’t wear with white for a while. Line dry, and all that sort of stuff.
Our denim workwear is made in a small town called Kojima in Okayama using natural indigo-dyed denim from nearby Kurashiki (home to some lovely weeping willows along its river.) Small family factories pool their skills, all specialising in the separate elements required for quality denim ware.
