Product description

Loose fitting, with deep, double lined pockets, kimono collar, and loose sleeves, made to be rolled up. Just what one wants in a practical, hard wearing work jacket, but it also dresses up surprisingly well. Ages, like the best of us, gracefully (ahem), but it’s best roughed up a bit to get things started. No denim really works until it’s had a night out under the stars.

While stocks last, choose from either

Shiromimi 13 oz denim woven on vintage shuttle looms by Kuroki Mills in Kojima with the original white stripe selvedge (shiromimi means white ear). Dipped ten times in indigo dye for rich, long lasting colour. One wash for softness. This denim has a slightly fluffy/neppy feel to it.

Or

Akamimi 12 oz red selvedge denim (akamimi means red ear), hand made in a limited edition in Okayama, the heartland of Japanese denim. Our 12 oz denim is lighter weight, but not lightweight, and has a slightly flatter surface weave.

Get both: you won’t regret either.

Best usage

This product may transfer colour to other items, especially when moisture or friction are added to the mix. Please take extra care around cream sofas, box-fresh trainers, pale leather bags and certain West Highland Terriers. We also recommend avoiding white T-shirts for a while. Wash rarely, inside out with similar colours on a cool setting. Use minimal soap and line dry only.

A note on measuring: length is measured from lower edge of the collar (ie NOT counting the collar band fabric) to the very bottom of the back hem, which is slightly longer than the front.
