Inspired by our Kojima Work Jacket, these limited run, made in Japan cotton twill iterations carry forward the spirit of Japanese workwear for everyday style and comfort.

Designed with practicality in mind, the deep, lined pockets could hold any number of hand tools, balls of twine, onigiri or notebooks.

The loose and slightly cropped sleeves are ready to be rolled up for when you need to get stuck in, and the kimono-style collar and slightly boxy, relaxed shape will keep you looking cool and comfortable.

A Hanko label on the collar let’s everyone know you’re a garden guy/gal, and it’s just a shade longer at the back, to preserve your modesty when bending or sitting.

Button it up over a white t-shirt for a clean and considered look, or let it flap about for a more relaxed approach. And if you’re after even more pockets (or an extra layer), pair it with the Niwaki Garden Waistcoat or Dan-Ten to create a suit for all seasons.

Best usage

No jacket is truly yours until it’s been worn in a little – but if you want it to last, a few simple do’s and don’ts apply.

It’s made from 100% cotton, so avoid high heat and harsh chemicals. Wash separately or with similar colours for the first time, and turn it inside out to reduce abrasion with the machine. Hang it up when not in use, and give it a gentle iron to ease out any creases.
