This Christmas, Niwaki is popping up in East London at SCP’s flagship store on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, from 25 November until 24 December.

Visit us for Christmas shopping and the chance to browse our latest products and gardening gear in person, or join our team each Saturday (29 November, 6, 13 & 20 December) for live sharpening demonstrations and practical tool advice.

SCP will also be hosting a special Ikebana workshop on 6 December and a Shimenawa workshop on 13 December.

Join us at No.38 Chiltern Street, London, for a celebratory programme of Japanese craft and culture.
There’ll be live Ohara ikebana demonstrations, led by Ruriko Kojima, from 1–2pm and 3–4pm in the shop window, and friends of Niwaki, Nakagawa, will lead a short matcha tea ceremony every half hour between 12 and 4pm.

No booking is required – simply drop in and take a moment to enjoy these time-honoured traditions.
Part of the Portman Christmas Shopping event, the whole neighbourhood will be buzzing with festive energy. Expect exclusive offers, complimentary refreshments, and Christmas carols as you enjoy one of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods at its best.

Join us at the Mapperton Christmas Market and enjoy a weekend in the Dorset countryside. We’ll be there with a selection of great gifts for gardeners, makers, chefs and tinkerers. Please do come and say hello to the team, pick up some tool care advice and stock up for the festive season

Entry is £5, which includes parking, garden access, and a donation to Weldmar Hospice. Children under 15 go free, and dogs are welcome in the market and café (but not the gardens). This event is wheelchair friendly.

Please join Niwaki at The Factory, Dalston, for a weekend of festive cheer – Japanese style. The Yokimono Japanese Christmas Market brings together makers, artists and food stalls to celebrate the best of Japan, in the heart of East London. There will be handmade ceramics, vintage kimono, washi paper, calligraphy and plenty of delicious things to eat, from matcha sweets to steaming bowls of noodles.

And most importantly, a selection of everyone’s favourite Niwaki tools, kitchenware and stocking fillers.
It’s the perfect place for a bit of Christmas shopping with a difference.

Please note, this is an indoor and outdoor event so dress appropriately.
*Impress your friends by casually letting them know that ‘Yokimono’ means ‘good things’ in Japanese.
