Kick-off the Christmas shopping and grab a bargain while you’re at it at the Niwaki Winter Open Day, incorporating our bi-annual sample sale with great stuff from Japan reduced by as much as 40%. We’ve seen the gear, and trust us – there are some stone-cold bargains to be had.

Everything is available on a first-come, first-served basis: an early arrival is recommend but late risers and long breakfasters will still find plenty of goodies to tempt them.

Bring your Niwaki tools along for a complimentary session with our sharpening expert Manos (one item per customer, please), and pick up some log splitting tips using Japanese axes and natas.

There’ll be plenty of free sake and snacks to enjoy, and we’re told that neighbouring deli Compton McRae are getting into the spirit of things by offering Japanese BBQ (sadly not free).

Join us at the Mapperton Christmas Market and enjoy a weekend in the Dorset countryside. We’ll be there with a selection of great gifts for gardeners, makers, chefs and tinkerers. Please do come and say hello to the team, pick up some tool care advice and stock up for the festive season

Entry is £5, which includes parking, garden access, and a donation to Weldmar Hospice. Children under 15 go free, and dogs are welcome in the market and café (but not the gardens). This event is wheelchair friendly.

Please join Niwaki at The Factory, Dalston, for a weekend of festive cheer – Japanese style. The Yokimono Japanese Christmas Market brings together makers, artists and food stalls to celebrate the best of Japan, in the heart of East London. There will be handmade ceramics, vintage kimono, washi paper, calligraphy and plenty of delicious things to eat, from matcha sweets to steaming bowls of noodles.

And most importantly, a selection of everyone’s favourite Niwaki tools, kitchenware and stocking fillers.
It’s the perfect place for a bit of Christmas shopping with a difference.

Please note, this is an indoor and outdoor event so dress appropriately.
*Impress your friends by casually letting them know that ‘Yokimono’ means ‘good things’ in Japanese.

This Christmas season, Niwaki is popping up in East London at SCP’s flagship store on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, from 25 November and throughout December. Discover a curated selection of our finest garden tools, accessories, ladders and thoughtful Christmas gifts, all available to shop in-store.

Join the Niwaki team in store each Saturday (29 November, 6, 13 & 20 December) for live sharpening demonstrations and practical tool advice. SCP will also be hosting a special Ikebana workshop on 6 December and a Shimenawa workshop on 13 December during the pop-up.
