Sample Sale

A little less than perfect, but more than up to the task.

We’re rather particular about what makes it onto our shelves, which occasionally means a small blemish, scratch or wonky makers mark means something gets set aside. Others simply belong to a collection that has moved on. The result? 40% savings on a treasure trove of samples, seconds and end-of line products*

*Sample Sale items are fully functional but may have cosmetic marks, packaging damage or other minor imperfections. Images are representative and the exact condition will vary by item. Your normal statutory rights are unaffected.

These Hori Hori blades may have marked handles, minor scratches or rivets that sit a little proud. None of which will affect their ability to get stuck in.

Weeding Hoe • Right Handed

Weeding Hoe: A demon one-handed weeder with a slightly darker, marked wooden handle, plus minor scratches on the blade. Still just as handy for tidying up vegetable beds and borders, or preparing neat seed drills.

Black and White Kenzan Set

Black and White Kenzan Set

Our favourite monochrome Kenzan set: great for dainty floral displays or (with enough pieces) a spiky game of chess. A slightly imperfect finish has resulted in minor paint chips, but once covered in water they’re barely noticeable and won’t affect your arrangements.

This Mini Nakiri Carbon Steel Knife has a slightly different handle to our current model, but it still holds a keen edge and cuts exactly as it should.

Niwaki Pouch

Niwaki Pouch

Features a secret patch of red dye on the inner lining (entirely imperceptible from the outside – only you need ever know it’s there). The dye is fixed and won’t trouble the contents of your bag.

The only thing these Secateurs are guilty of is being slightly out of date, as we’ve since updated the vinyl and handle style. Other than that, they’re just as tough as our current Daikiba Secateurs. A good choice for heavy-duty pruning and cutting woody stems up to 15mm.

These boots have already ventured outdoors, with a few scuffs and traces of mud on the soles. Most likely from a photoshoot in a lovely garden somewhere. They may even be on our Instagram. Famous boots! You could give them a quick wipe down if you wanted to, or carry on where they left off, and head out in search of some good puddles.

The handles of these Mini Shears may have picked up a few scuffs (and the wooden handles are slightly different to our current ones), but otherwise there’s pleasantly little to report.
