Fantastic starter razor if you’re thinking of giving the Double Edged razor thing a go. If you haven’t used a DE before, fear not - but go slow… The closeness of the shave is equalled only by the sheer enjoyment you’ll have, especially if you lather up with a badger hair brush.
If you have used one before, you’ll know all razors work at a different angle. Feather work best at quite a steep angle, and give a non-aggressive shave, especially if used with Feather Hi-Stainless blades.
Best usage
Beard be gone! This traditional shaving tool offers a clean, smooth finish that makes irritation, in-grown hairs and razor burn a thing of the past. The fine edge cuts each hair without pulling or tugging, resulting in a satisfyingly close shave. If you’re used to a quadruple storey multi blade with lubracting whatnots, the stripped back, refined design can take a bit of getting used to; but once you get the hang of it the results are more than worth it. It also scores very highly on sustainability, since you need only ever replace the stainless steel blades.
Assuming you don’t already know how: wet your face with warm water and apply a generous amount of shaving cream. Find the right angle against your skin (30-45 degrees). Keep a steady hand, and make short gentle strokes downwards in the direction of hair growth. Avoid applying pressure and let the razor do the work for you.
