Described by Monty Don as one of his five favourite gardening tools in the Telegraph
SORRY - out of stock until spring 2018. Have a look at the Niwaki Lightweight Secateurs for a good alternative.
Drop forged, deep in the mountains of Yamagata, from amazing high carbon steel, these secateurs combine a beautifully refined balance with a smooth, razor-sharp cut. The face of the cutting blade is slightly hollow ground to reduce friction in the cutting action, giving a cleaner, easier cut. These babies are bashed out of one piece of top quality Yasugi steel, from blade to handle, and combine the shape of the traditional A-Type with more modern production techniques, resulting in a light and balanced but strong pair of secateurs that are comfortable to use all day long.
- Yasugi YCS-3 Carbon Steel
- 8" long (20cm)
- Chunky catch at bottom
- Red and yellow vinyl handles show up in the garden - peel them off if you prefer the more traditional look
- Sharpen with our Niwaki Sharpening Stones
Niwaki Tip: Amazing quality steel that holds its edge well - but not for mad hacking and certainly not for opening paint tins...
