Product description
Clever little saw for making cuts within the middle of an area of wood. The double sided (ryoba) blade has finer teeth on one side for cross cutting, and larger teeth on the other for ripping.
The Magnolia handle is wrapped in wisteria rattan.
Best usage
The Niwaki Azebiki saw features a double-sided blade with two sets of teeth: one for rip cuts (along the grain), and one for crosscuts (across the grain).
It’s curved toothline makes it perfect for starting plunge cuts in the center of a piece of wood – especially groves, mortises, or other openings that a standard saw (or router plane) might struggle to reach. Ideal for when you need to remove material without damaging the surrounding area.
Its ability to make precise cuts in tight places makes it suitable for a variety of detailed work including; lutherie, cabinetry, window building, and even shipbuilding (should you wish to construct your own armada).
