Kei Yamaguchi aka Kathy has been baking since she was a child, but it wasn’t until she graduated from university and began working in an American-style bakery that she realised her skills were in hot demand. In 2013 she set out on her own and opened Kathy’s Kitchen, which offers baking classes and pop-up baking stalls for events in Kyoto, where she is based, and Tokyo. Over time her delicious baked goods have developed something of a cult following amongst those in the know, so we are very excited that she has found time in her travel plans to offer a one-of-a-kind workshop at Niwaki Chiltern Street.
