This workshop covers Jake's main interests of shaping plants to fit into their surroundings - covering formal topiary, Japanese cloud pruning & organic topiary, as well as more common pruning techniques, and a tour around the gardens at Harvard Farm with Jake's Mother, Dilly Hobson.
Jake discusses the correct tools for various jobs, and how basic ideas can be reinterpreted for your own garden. The day has a practical element to it, and encourages dialogue and chat between the attendees.
It should appeal to fairly experienced gardeners who are comfortable wielding a pair of secateurs!
