Full this year - sorry!
The day covers all aspects of box clipping, including timing, the right tools, sharpening, and plant health as well as the technical pruning itself. A digital slide show will introduce the creative potential, Jake will demonstrate the basics and look in greater detail at the skills he's developed over the years, and everyone gets a chance to practise on plants in the garden - the entire afternoon is hands-on. Jake is particularly interested in what he calls Organic Topiary, and this is reflected in the garden at Harvard Farm, with lots of blobs, mushrooms and other organic, cloudy shapes of box. Aimed at giving you confidence, it's a suitable day for beginners as well as more experienced clippers who want to develop their skills further.
Tea and Coffee provided, bring a picnic lunch.
