Product description

Loose fitting and long of leg* giving you lots of room to move. The pockets are deep at the front and lined at the back to protect against inevitables - just what one wants in a practical, hard wearing pair of work trousers, but they also brush up nicely if you need something bit smarter. They age really nicely, like all good jeans, but we find they’re best roughed up a bit to get things started - no denim really works until it’s had a night out under the stars or the odd bonfire or two.

While stocks last, choose from either

Shiromimi 13 oz denim woven on vintage shuttle looms by Kuroki Mills in Kojima with the original white stripe selvedge (shiromimi means white ear). Dipped ten times in indigo dye for rich, long lasting colour. One wash for softness. This denim has a slightly fluffy/neppy feel to it.

Or

Akamimi 12 oz red selvedge denim (akamimi means red ear), hand made in a limited edition in Okayama, the heartland of Japanese denim. Our 12 oz denim has 2% stretch for added movement – equally as happy clipping, raking or pruning in the garden as when picking your way through the back streets of Kyoto or exploring the drinking dens of Shinjuku’s Golden Gai. The 12 oz denim is lighter weight, but not lightweight, and has a slightly flatter surface weave.

Best usage

You know the rules: wash rarely, cool, minimal soap, inside out with similar colours. Expect slight colour run and for heaven’s sake don’t wear with white for a while. Line dry, and all that sort of stuff.

*See the size details - these are deliberately fairly long in the leg, mostly to fit Jake. Roll them up or take them up if they’re really too long.
