Flowers on the Edge

20-22 June

49 Staffordshire Street
London
SE15 5TJ

Coinciding with British Flowers Week, Flowers on the Edge is an exhibition that aims to push the boundaries of sustainable floral design, shining a spotlight on emerging season-led floral designers and locally grown flowers. Organised by florists and members of Flowers from the Farm Cissy Bullock and Olivia Wilson, the exhibition aims to showcase the artistry that underpins floral design while raising awareness about the positive environmental impacts of season-led floristry.

The exhibition brings together a diverse range of floral design studios that are pushing the boundaries of sustainability and creativity in the floral industry. From using locally grown, seasonal British flowers to drawing inspiration from contemporary art and nature, each studio demonstrates a unique commitment to sustainability, with a focus on ethical sourcing, reusable mechanics and the celebration of fleeting natural beauty.

Niwaki is gifting the first 50 visitors a special Niwaki tote bag, complete with a pair of Sentei Garden Scissors and a copy of the Niwaki Field Report. Looking after your tools is a matter of plant care: a well-maintained pair of secateurs or floral scissors will deliver clean, healthy cuts and last longer. It’s also hugely satisfying to learn the necessary skills so you can do the job yourself.

On Saturday 21 June, we’ll be on hand to demonstrate tool sharpening, sharing practical tips and techniques to keep your kit in perfect condition. We’ll also have a selection of floristry
Tools and sharpening kit available to buy - everything you need to elevate your craft.
