Product description
These small-batch pruners are special in all sorts of ways.
For one thing, they’re forged from top quality KA70 steel, a hard wearing carbon steel that retains its edge well and sharpens easily.
To soften the feel, the steel handles are wrapped with wisteria rattan, that not only looks amazing but also provides a natural textured grip that feels great in the hand and provides perfect ergonomics and grip.
As a natural material, rattan should be treated a shade more carefully than other handles - try not to bash them about or leave them out in the rain overnight (that’s good advice for all our tools) and generally looked after with a little more care. In particular, don’t fold the pruner lock catch inside the handle, or use with it half out, as this can wear and snag the rattan.
Best usage
- Clean with a Niwaki Clean Mate rust and sap eraser
- Sharpen with a Niwaki #1000 grit stone
- Protect with Niwaki Camellia Oil
