Limited-edition Higurashi Pruners, restyled with white vinyl handles for the YMC x Niwaki collaboration.
Drop-forged from hard-wearing KA-70 carbon steel, with a chunky catch to keep the blades securely closed when not in use, they’re just the thing for regular garden pruning – whether urban, suburban or rural – as well as indoor jobs like tidying houseplants or cutting woody stems for ikebana-style flower arrangements.
Best usage
Be mindful of the maximum 10mm cutting size as some woody stems will be tougher than others depending on plant species and time of year. Of course, this is just a guide and so much depends on technique – trust your instinct, try not to cut with the tip of the blade and go easy on woody stuff.
Wipe away rust, sap and grime with a Niwaki Mini Clean Mate, then protect with a dash of Camellia Oil.
For regular sharpening, use a Niwaki #1000 Sharpening Stone.
