The day was most notable for the intense, icy rain - at the start, randomly throughout the day, and at the finish. Interrupted by moments of glorious sunshine. We’d come to witness Michael, and his gardening partner Dave (along with Dave’s son) get the better of a large rose pagoda, but what with the weather there was less pruning, and more chatting and the odd cup of tea. Shared friends and shared interests mostly.
