Shuronawa

Palm Fibre Twine

Spun from the hairy trunks of Trachycarpus fortunei (can you think of anything you'd rather be spun from?) and dyed black, this twine is used for all garden jobs in Japan- tree training, fence making, binding etc.

Tip: When using for fence making, wet the twine first - it's more supple and malleable, and shrinks tight on drying (but can stain your hands.)

3mm, 2 ply, 20 m hank - black
4mm, 2 ply, 100m roll - black and brown
